my latest painting in the «salud» series in its original state and re-interpreted for a cozy pillow (a gift set). painting this was fun. i created the gift set for my dear friend miriam, who was a fellow doctoral student in clincal psychology — before i made the difficult, heartbreaking, and correct decision to stop my training (this was my second attempt, doing everything but dissertation and internship). miriam was very supportive during that entire process, and through many conversations to follow she became a dear friend. she also greatly influenced the design of the heart in my «salud: COVID bubble» mural. on her birthday i created this gift set for her, incorporating her favorite flowers.
